The filing deadline ended on Monday afternoon for a place on the ballot in the November election for Brownwood ISD school board trustee.
Two of the three positions up for election will go unopposed without an incumbent on the ballot, but a race has developed in Place 4.
In Place 2, Diane Thompson is the only candidate who filed. Nesa Morelock, who currently holds that position, did not file for re-election. Brad Jetton has filed for Place 5 with current board member Michael Coppic choosing not to file for re-election
Place 4 will have three candidates. Incumbent Eric Evans as well as challengers Brant Baugh and Stanley Walker, Jr. have filed for a place on the ballot in that position.
The election will be held on November 6th.
