The Brown County Sheriff’s office is investigating a fight near Lake Brownwood that resulted two people being injured, one from a gunshot wound.
According to Brown County Sheriff Captain Vance Hill, authorities responded to County Road 103 Saturday morning after a call about the incident. He said that one person was shot in the leg by a .45 during a struggle. This subject was airlifted to Dallas for treatment, but the injury does not appear to be life-threatening, Hill said.
The other person involved was taken to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment of their injuries during the fight.
Hill said that the BCSO is still investigating the incident to determine if the shooting was self defense.
