District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.
Jonathan Jones pled guilty to the offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Jay Robert Gaffga pled guilty to the felony offenses of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence and Theft of a Firearm and was sentenced to 8 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
Michael McAnn pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Sonia Nelson, on probation for the felony offense of Injury to a Child, was revoked and sentenced to 7 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further Nelson pled guilty to the felony offenses of Theft of a Firearm and Credit Card or Debit Card Abuse and was sentenced to 12 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
Timothy Bell, on probation for the felony offenses of Evading Arrest and Theft over $1500 under $20,000 – Against Elderly, was revoked and sentenced to 6 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
Rodney Howard pled guilty to four separate felony offenses of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, institutional Division in each case.
Albert Eugene Espinosa pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Requirements and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice Institutional Division. Further Espinosa, on probation for the felony offense of Sexual Assault, was adjudicated and sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
