District Attorney Micheal Murray reports several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.
Roy Ortega pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
David Ortega pled no contest to the felony offense of Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Felipe Lopez pled no contest to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Brent Cothran pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Cothran, on probation for the felony offense of Prohibited Weapon, was adjudicated and sentenced to 3 years Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
