District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

James Kirby Peek pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 40 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jennifer Goins pled guilty to the felony offenses of Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity and Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver and was sentenced to 20 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Joe Dale Smith pled guilty to the felony offense of Deadly Weapon in Penal Institution and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Fernando Santos Perez, on probation for the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver, was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Terry Blaine Bessent pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Bradley Dale Cole pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Stop and Render Aid and was sentenced to 3 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Raynaldo Maldonado pled guilty to the felony offense of Evading Arrest and was sentenced to 270 days in Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
