District Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.
Jose Luis Martinez, Jr. pled no contest to the felony offense of Assault Family Violence Occlusion-Prior Convictions and was sentenced to 33 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Martinez pled no contest to the felony offenses of Injury to a Child and Continuous Violence Against the Family and was sentenced to 14 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.
Jason Lynn Sliger pled guilty to the felony offenses of Assault Family Violence Occlusion and Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.Billy Clyde Moore pled guilty to the felony offense of Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence and was sentenced to 4 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
Lorena Rivera Mantos pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 15 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
