BrownCountyDistrictCourtLogoDistrict Attorney Micheal Murray reports that several felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Stephen Ellis presiding.

Monica Castaneda pled guilty to the felony offense of Burglary of a Habitation and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further Castaneda pled guilty to the felony offense of Theft-Enhanced and Forgery and was sentenced to 10 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Also Castaneda pled guilty to the state jail felony offenses of Theft over $1,500 under $20,000, Forgery, Theft-Enhanced and Burglary of a Building and was sentenced to 20 months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Christopher Cody McDonough pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and Delivery of a Controlled Substance – Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to 15 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division in each case.

Marcus Gerard Cabrera, on probation for the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon was revoked and sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Raynaldo Maldonado, Jr. pled guilty to the felony offense of Unlawful Possession of Firearm by Felon and was sentenced to 5 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.  Further, Maldonado pled guilty to the jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to 2 years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
