A FedEx box truck flipped on its side and the driver of the other vehicle was transported to the hospital for evaluation after a wreck at the intersection of 13th Street and Avenue O.
According to Brownwood Police on scene, the driver of the FedEx truck was traveling northeast on Avenue O and failed to yield the right of way to the Monte Carlo which was traveling southeast on 13th Street. Police said that as the two vehicles attempted to avoid collision, the box truck struck the curb and overturned as the Monte Carlo hit the truck and the curb causing front-end damage to the vehicle.
The driver of the box truck was uninjured, according to police. The driver of the Monte Carlo was walking around after the accident but was transported for evaluation at the emergency room.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene. While responding to this accident, emergency personnel were called to yet another accident in the 1200 block of Main Blvd.
