This weekend, the First Baptist Church of Brownwood will celebrate Holy Week by observing services Thursday and Friday evenings, and Sunday morning.
On Thursday, March 24, the church will hold its annual Maundy Thursday communion service at 6:30 PM. This service will commemorate the final evening in the life of Jesus Christ, and the meal that he shared with his disciples prior to his arrest.
Friday evening’s service on March 25 will be a remembrance of the final hours in the life of Christ, including his trial, crucifixion, and burial. This service will include various readings of scripture, congregational hymns, and anthems sung by the church’s Sanctuary Choir.Both the Thursday and Friday evening services will begin at 6:30 PM.
The Easter service will begin at 10:50 AM on Sunday, March 27. All events will be held in the Sanctuary at FBC. The public is invited to join the church these services.
