Graveside services for Mrs. Calvin (Fay) Thompson, 96, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, May 14, 2012 at Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday at the Heartland Funeral Home. Mrs. Thompson passed away Friday, May 11, 2012 in Burleson.
Fay was born on September 13, 1915 in Coleman County, Texas to John and Myrtle Barmore May. She grew up an attended School in Coleman and attended Sul Ross University for two years. On August 22, 1942 she married Calvin Jefferson Thompson in Brady, Texas. She was a retired cosmetologist and a homemaker. Mrs. Thompson had lived in Brownwood since 1947, was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church, 59 Graden Club, Central Texas Coin Club and the Ladies Auxillary to the Railroad Trainmen.
Survivors include
Daughter: Linda Rosewell of Burleson, Texas
Granddaughter: Kathy Gay of Houston, Texas
Grandson: Brian Sanderson of Alvarado, Texas
Eight Grandchildren and Five Great Grandchildren.
Preceded in death by her Parents, Husband and one brother Ben May.
