Brownwood News – The Coleman County Sheriff’s Department was notified Tuesday morning at 12:20 am of a fight on Paisano Road at Comanche Shores at Lake Coleman. The location is on the northwest side of the lake.
According to information obtained from Coleman County Sheriff Les Cogdill, law enforcement then learned that a 33-year-old man had been shot in the upper leg by his 58-year-old father. The father was not at the scene when law enforcement arrived, Cogdill said. The victim was flown to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth in unknown condition.
Law enforcement searched for the suspect on ground and brought in a DPS helicopter from Lubbock to search by air. The suspect was still at large as of 11:00 am Tuesday, Cogdill said. An arrest warrant for the man has been issued through the Justice of the Peace Court.
Names of those involved have not been released as of now.
