AgriLifeExtensionWe have had some rain and most ponds/tanks have water in them again.  Now the pond management thoughts turn to controlling aquatic weeds and fish.

Getting rid of aquatic weeds in a pond is hard to achieve in most cases.  So with this in mind, the Texas AgriLife Extension Service Brown County Office will conduct a Pond Management program on Thursday evening July 10, 2014.  It will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds located on Hwy 377 South.  The program will begin at 6:00p.m.  Extension Fisheries Specialist, Dr. Todd Sink will present the program.  Program topics will include, Aquatic Weeds, Aquatic Herbicide Selection and Use, and Fish Management.

Two (2) CEUs will be offered to TDA licensed pesticide applicators.

There will be a $10 registration fee payable at the door.  If you have a pond/tank that has aquatic weeds that need to be controlled or have questions about managing your pond/tank doesn’t miss this opportunity to get the most up to date information and learn from one of the leading authorities in the state.
