The Martin & Frances Lehnis Railroad Museum invites the public to come join in the fun of Family Day and ride the miniature train this Saturday from 10am-3pm.
Lenny the railroad conductor (pictured above) will be there to take part in the fun.
Museum Curator Kim Peterson reminds everyone, “Don’t forget to come in and join us inside the museum.”
Family Day is every first Saturday of the month and a reduced admission to the museum of $2.00 for all ages is offered. Miniature train rides are also available for $2.00 per person per ride.
The Martin & Frances Lehnis Railroad Museum is located across the street from the historic Brownwood Santa Fe Depot and Fred Harvey House. The museum exhibits the railroad history of Brownwood, Central Texas and the American Southwest. Exhibits include railroad lanterns, model trains of all sizes and ages, railroad equipment, interactive telegraph equipment used to send telegraph messages, railroad videos, photographs of railroad employees, structures and trains, and the sights and sounds of trains.
Hours of Operation are Tuesday through Saturday 10am until 4:00pm and the museum is closed on holidays.
