The current administration is practicing the ancient art of deception and the Democrats that support them are drinking the kool-aid.  As long as man has been on this planet, there have been those that want to rule  and those that want to be dependent and have everything given to them—the nanny state mentality.  This is a very dangerous combination for a free people with a Democratic-Republic form of government.  When the rulers have exhausted all of the resources and can no longer coddle their subjects, rebellion and chaos ensue.

“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.” — 2 Peter 2: 1

This destruction of individual rights by the progressive movement started in 1913 with Woodrow Wilson.  It was followed up by Franklin Delano Roosevelt in the 1930’s and flourished under Lyndon Baines Johnson in the 1960’s.  But now under the regime of Barak Obama we are charging headlong over a cliff to a depth of destruction hardly dreamed of by his progressive predecessors.  His misguided leadership is influenced by the Marxist crowd he has surrounded himself with.  Whether it is intentional or not does not matter; the path to destruction is littered with good intentions.  The corruption and dishonesty of this regime are obvious.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.” — Matthew 7:1

The only way to make the required major course correction is to remove from power the current corrupt regime and replace it with strong conservative leadership.  This is not only the goal but the mission of the San Angelo TEA Party.  Our dedication has absolutely nothing to do with the color of the man’s skin but has everything to do with his actions, wrongheaded leadership and his total lack of integrity.

All of our TEA Party meetings this year have been informational forums of conservative candidates seeking office.  We have learned as much about the function and responsibilities of the offices as we have about the qualifications of the candidates competing for the offices.

Lately there have been a few articles published in this paper that unjustly disparage the San Angelo TEA Party.  (Linda Shoemaker: 4-28-2012, Robert Minnix: 5-6-2012, etc.)  Truly there is evil in this country.  The largest concentrations are in the Democrat headquarters and the Democrat-controlled White House and Senate. Their evil minions spread vile propaganda all over this country via the liberal news media and truly misguided letters to the editor.

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;” — 1 Corinthians 13:6

What was presented is either from pure ignorance or our beliefs are so foreign to them they cannot fathom the true meaning of liberty and freedom.  Both come with responsibilities and commitments to stand for what is written in our Constitution.  The criticism by the democrats/socialists who try to portray themselves as populists is totally unfounded.  Just because we believe in truth, justice and the American way does not make us the enemy.  What we desire is the acceptance of the truth that this big ship called “The United States of America” is heading in the wrong direction and changing course back toward prosperity will avoid the nightmares of bondage.

“And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we gave in Christ Jesus that they might bring us into bondage.”  Galatians 2: 4

Those who oppose the opinions and actions of others should at least have the common courtesy and integrity to get their facts straight before bloviating to the world and proving their ignorance.  They need to expound on personal experience, not on what they hear and see on video or audio and what is presented in biased opinions.

I hereby formally invite Linda Shoemaker and Robert Minnex to attend any of our conservative San Angelo TEA Party meetings.  I can assure them they will receive a courteous and friendly welcome and an opportunity for a civil exchange of views.

We meet on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at 6:30 pm.  We gather at the West Texas Training Center (Howard College Campus), 3501 N Hwy 67, San Angelo, TX.  All are welcome.  For more information visit our website: www.sanangeloteaparty.org or call Terry M. Campbell at 942-9753.
