Howard_Payne_logosmallHoward Payne University faculty presentations focusing on HPU’s heritage will be held on Monday, April 12, and Tuesday, April 13. Beginning at noon in the Bullion Suites of the Mabee University Center, the seminars will be open to the public. Lunch will not be provided, but guests are invited to bring a meal with them.

Monday’s presentation, “120 Years of Presidential History,” will be given by Dr. Robert Mangrum, professor of history and political science and university historian.

On Tuesday, Dr. Art Allen, associate dean of the School of Christian studies and professor of Christian studies, will speak on “120 Years of Howard Payne Spirit.”

Celebration Week at HPU will also feature the Currie-Strickland Distinguished Lectures in Christian Ethics on Wednesday, April 14; dedications of the newly renovated Mims Auditorium and the Paul and Jane Meyer Faith and Life Leadership Center, featuring Grace Chapel and the Richard and Wanda Jackson Conference Room, on Thursday, April 15; and the inauguration of Dr. William N. Ellis as the 19th president of the university on Friday, April 16.
