altamiranoFuneral Services for Fabian C. Altamirano Sr., age 76, of Brownwood, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday December 18, 2010 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Serafin Avenido officiating, interment to follow in Greenleaf Cemetery under the direction of Davis Morris Funeral Home. A Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home. Mr. Altamirano passed away Wednesday December 15, 2010 in Brownwood.

Fabian was born on January 20, 1934 in El Remolino Coahulia, Mexico, to Precentacion Altamirano and Maria de Jesus Cervantes. He married Juana Caballero on July 15, 1961 in Brady,Texas and worked as a ranch hand for Texas A&M University . He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

Fabian is survived by his wife, Juana Altamirano of Brownwood; daughters, Connie Emerson of Princeton,Tx, Olga Ledford of San Antonio, Margie Carrion and husband Frank of Bangs, and Candelaria Salazar of San Antonio; sons, Fabian Altamirano Jr. and wife Norma of Brownwood, and Juan Altamirano and wife Kayla of Brownwood; daughter, Mary Watts and husband Mike of Bedford;Son Marcos Altamirano of Celebration,Fl.;and daughter Jessica Altamirano of Brownwood; Nine grandsons; One granddaughter; and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Domingo Altamirano and Ernesto Altamirano; and a son-in-law, Scott Emerson.
