Emergency personnel responded to an explosion in Early, TX behind the Early Fire Department around 10 am this morning. As a result, all four lanes of traffic were temporarily blocked on Hwy 67 for approximately 30 minutes but are now reopened.
According to City of Early City Administrator, Tony Aaron, an explosion occurred behind the Early Fire Department during the process of diesel being delivered to the facility. One person, the delivery driver, was injured and was flown from the scene by Air Evac helicopter. We will provide updates as the story develops.
