Funeral services for Eva Doris Brown, 83, of Brownwood will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, August 25, 2016 in the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown passed away Monday, August 22, 2016.
Eva was born August 28, 1932 to Luther S. and Johnnie (Dykes) Henderson in Early, Texas. She had been a life-time resident of Brown County. Eva loved to read and loved music; but her true passion was in God’s Word and in serving her church, Southside Church, where she taught Sunday School for many years.
Eva leaves to cherish her memory her three sons: Kurt Brown and wife, Julie, of Bangs, Kyle Brown of Brownwood and Kip Brown and wife, Melissa of Early; grandchildren: Amanda Brown, Deedra Cole, Amanda Olvera, Bradley Brown, William Brown, Christopher Williams and Jeremy Brown; four great grandchildren, Jack Field, Sara Field, Jaxson Olvera and Penelope Brown; sister, Lois Neal, two special nieces who were like daughters to her, Charisse and Arlene; and a niece more like a sister/best friend, Dolores.She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Edward “Dub” Brown; brothers, Merrill, Dalton, Floyd, Melvin and T.L. Henderson and sister, Helen Guill.
