Graveside funeral services for Eula Mae (Verde) Holley, 86, of Early, will be at 1:00 PM, Sunday, December 5, 2010 in the Salt Creek Cemetery with Pastor Jimmie Mize officiating, under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
She passed away on Thanksgiving Day, one day before her 87th birthday.
Eula Mae was born on November 26th, 1923, and was the youngest daughter of Sed C. Adams & Estelle (Tongate) Adams of Brownwood. She graduated from Early High School, worked in San Antonio in the automobile business for many years and moved back to the Brownwood area in the 1970s.
Eula Mae is survived by her sister, Lucille Wilkerson of Beaumont and Lucille’s daughter Sheila Sikes, by her niece Loretta Pritchett of Dayton, Nevada, by her son Joe Verde II and her grandson Joe Verde III of Laguna Niguel, California, and by her 3 great-grandchildren; Justin, Tyler and Lucas Verde. Eula Mae also has many relatives in the Brown County and surrounding areas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
