Eula Bell Lambert Tuttle, 89, of Brownwood, TX passed away Saturday, April 21, 2012. Graveside services will be held at 1:00pm, Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in the Coleman City Cemetery, with Bro. Ricky Cavitt officiating. Burial will follow immediately after the services.
Eula Bell was born May 13, 1922, to Terrell Allison Lambert and Lillie Bell Westfall Lambert in Brownwood, TX. Eula Bell attended school in Brown County and completed three years at Daniel Baker College. She married Locke Paul Tuttle in 1943 and moved to Abilene. She worked at a children’s home in various capacities. Later, Eula and Paul moved to Coleman where they managed a feed store and worked at the First Baptist Church of Coleman. After Paul’s death, Eula returned to Brownwood and worked as a bookkeeper for Rogers K. Coleman, M.D. Following the closure of his practice, Eula worked at the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church helping in the nursery and had a children’s daycare in her home. Eula Bell was a member of Coggin Avenue Baptist Church and participated in the activities until her vision, hearing, and health started to fail her.
Eula is survived by two nieces, Runnell Rodgers of Odessa, TX and Marie White of Ft. Worth, TX. Also left to cherish her memories are friends Kathy Edwards, Christi Edwards, Theresa and Rick Cavitt and Zelda Oakley, in addition to her caregivers at Cross County Care Center.
Preceding Eula in death were her parents, her husband and her son, Nelson Payne Tuttle. Also preceding her in death were her four brothers and two sisters, in addition to her special friend Michelle Edwards.
