Funeral Services for Etta Cornell, age 77, of Early, Texas will be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, May 21, 2011 at the Heartland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. She passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at St. Anthony’s Central Hospital in Denver, Colorado.
Mrs. Cornell was born April 6, 1934 in Hall Valley, Texas to Boyd and Veri Cheek Smith. On , July 8, 2006 she married Mark Cornell in Durango, Colorado. A life time resident of Brown County she had owned and operated Western Hatters for twenty years and was a member of the Grace Baptist Church.
