Estelle Weathers, age 98, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 5, 2013, at Oak Ridge Manor in Brownwood. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Pecan Wells Cemetery in Hamilton County under the direction of Davis-Morris Funeral Home, 800 Center Ave., Brownwood.
Estelle was born December 27, 1914, in Irving, Texas, to James and Myrtle Hogan Gossett. She married J.C. Weathers on May 25, 1935, and they came to Brownwood in 1958. Estelle worked as a Nurse’s Aide and was a member of the Southside Baptist Church.
Estelle is survived by her sons, Carl Weathers and wife Mickey Jean of Lubbock, Texas, and Jay Weathers and wife Glenda of Gatesville, Texas; 11 grandchildren; 22 great- grandchildren and 9 great- great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband, J.C. Weathers; daughter, Margery Sheffield; brothers, Ewell Gossett and Warren Gossett, and her sister, Hazel Matesek. Condolences may be left for the family at www.davismorrisfuneralhome.com.
