Epimenia “Pepper” Johnson, age 71 of Brownwood, was born on March 24, 1941 in Pleasanton, Texas to Pedro Martinez and Jovita Odell Martinez.  Pepper was an ordained minister and ministered to many people throughout her life.  She touched many individuals with her prayers.  Pepper was a former member of Brownwood Evangelism Center. She passed away at her home on Thursday, July 12, 2012.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are her husband, Monty Johnson of Early; daughters, Krystal Baxter Ragsdale and husband, Justin of Killeen, and Teressa Bunn and husband, Robert of Houston; her sons, Bryan Fuller of Houston and Rev. Joe Martinez and wife, Marcie of Idaho; and her siblings, Pete Martinez, Jovita Martinez, Petra Martinez, and Katy Thom.  Pepper also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at Locker Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home. Friends may sign the guestbook at www.blaylockfuneralhome.com.
