Emmett Kimbal Matlock was born on February 5, 1938 in Seven Wells, Texas to Delbert Lee and Vera Brown Matlock. He served in the United States Navy and on August 1, 1961 he married Glynith Simmons in Colorado City. After over thirty years of service he retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He lived in Midland for many years before moving to Lake Brownwood where he was a member of the Rocky Creek Baptist Church.

Bennie Matlock and wife Teresa of Albuquerque, New Mexico
Grandchildren: Wesley Matlock, Christina Matlock, Courtney Williams, Jennifer Matlock, Kevin Matlock, Bradley Williams, Zachery Reed and Jaycee Reed
Numerous Nieces and Nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Laverne Fox, Ruby Honea; three brothers Jim, Lee and John Matlock.
