Visitation Services for Emma Vernelle “Nell” Cox, age 61, of Brownwood, will be held from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday December 22, 2010 at the Davis Morris Funeral Home with Mike Hayes officiating. Mrs. Cox passed away Sunday December 19, 2010 in Brownwood.
Nell was born on July 31, 1949 in Richmond, Virginia. She married Thomas Cox on May 24, 1979 in Prince Fredrick, Maryland and worked as a caregiver for home health.
Nelle is survived by her daughters, Melissa Crasco, and Gwendolyn Cooper; a son, Evan Cox; sister, Wanda Finazzo; daughter in law, Cindy Neely-Coulby, Becky Cox, and Susan Traetta; seven grandsons, Jeremy Davis, Jamie Traette, Azchary Cox, Cameron Cox, Dustin Bowling, Jonathon Cox, and Jessie Cox; four granddaughters, Brittany Steedand and husband Travis, Amber Diffin and husband Daniel, Savannah Bowling, and Crystal Cox; granddaughter-in-law Jessie Payne; great grandchildren, Will Diffin, Mason Steed, Ava Steed, and Shane Davis; nieces Tammy Swann and Belinda Stine.
She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Cox; her son, B.J. Bowling Jr.; and her father Lawrence Hubbard.
