Emily Ann Cottrell, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 1, 2013, surrounded by family. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 PM Saturday, September 7, at High Mesa Cowboy Church, 1100 High Mesa Drive with Pastor Todd King officiating. Burial was private.
Ann was born on May 18, 1926, in Kelton, Texas, to Bascom Price and Nellie Lee Chilton Price. She was married to Sherman Cottrell on July 16, 1953, in Borger, Texas, and together they came to Brownwood in 1976. Ann worked at Joe Loudamy’s Dress Shop and at the Ranch House. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church and also attended Southside Baptist Church and Early First Baptist Church. Ann enjoyed sewing, cooking and love playing games especially cards and 42. She loved her family and devoted her life to them.Ann is survived by her children, Vic Cottrell and wife Julie of Bridgeport, Texas, Lynn Tyler and husband Rex of Brownwood and Tonya Hopper and husband Doug of Early; her twin brother, Bill Price of Phoenix, Arizona; 10 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 2 great, great grandchildren.
