In less than one hour’s time, Brown County emergency responders were called to the scene of three separate vehicle accidents.
Brownwood Police were called to a pair of accidents shortly after 1pm on Tuesday afternoon.
At 1:30pm, a small passenger car collided with a Dodge van, blocking the roadway at 4th and Avenue K.
The vehicles collided as they entered the intersection, one of which was attempting a turn. There were no injuries; however both vehicles had minor front-end damage.
Approximately 1:50pm, another collision occurred at 305 N. Fisk between a Ford extended cab pickup and a Ford Mustang. The roadway was blocked however there were no reported injuries. The Mustang had front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
Just after 2:00pm, a motorcycle accident occurred. According to Department of Public Safety Trooper Chris Delgado, the driver leaned his motorcycle to make the curve on FM 45 at County Road 225 (Country Club Road) and apparently his foot peg “got hung in the road” causing him to lose control of the motorcycle. The driver was transported to Brownwood Regional Medical Center for treatment of his injuries, the extent of which was unknown at this time. According to one emergency responder on scene, “luckily he had his helmet on because he was pretty scratched up.”
