SellersHeaven gained an angel on Wednesday, August 12, 2015. Elza Ray Sellers, 80, Sellers passed away in Brownwood, Texas. Funeral services, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home, will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 16, 2015, at the Heartland Chapel in Early with Brother Jimmie Mize officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery of Comanche, Texas. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Elza Ray Seller was born June 15, 1935, in Brady, Texas, to Oliver and Annie (Holloway) Sellers, Jr. He married his best friend and lifelong soul mate Virginia Byrd on February 19, 1957, in Comanche, Texas. They moved to Brownwood where he worked as a truck driver to support his new family. He was a dedicated hunter and fisherman. He loved taking his family on adventures, introducing them to his love for the outdoors. He also loved his motorcycles and spent many hours traveling and making memories. One of his many hobbies was treasure hunting. He was a member of a treasure hunting club based in Cisco, Texas. He loved going to meetings and comparing his many treasures with his friends.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Virginia Sellers; brothers, J.H. Sellers and wife Elon of Bangs, Texas, Mikey Sellers and wife Dorothy of Comanche, Texas; daughter, Raylene Sellers of Temple, Texas; sons, Harold Sellers and wife Kim of Brownwood, Texas, Gary Sellers and wife Dawn of Springtown, Texas; four grandchildren;  granddaughters, Diane Carr and husband Josh of Virginia, Christy Spencer and husband Jeremy of Ennis, Texas, grandsons, Josh Sellers and wife Lauren of Katy, Texas, granddaughter, Jessica Portlock and husband of Ft. Worth, Texas; 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Oliver and Annie Sellers; daughter, Anne Sellers; son-in-law, Tom Simmons; grandson, Cory Ray Sellers.

Pallbearers are Larry Lagut, Jimmy Sellers, James Sellers, Cody Sellers, Ethan Newton, and Fain McDaniel.
