That’s right, Elvis is coming to town and is looking for some Brownwood Reunion fun.
The 2009 Brownwood Reunion Celebration organizers announced that Elvis has registered for the 5K run. They are encouraging everyone to come out on Saturday, September 19th, before 8am to see this Elvis and participate in either the 5K run or the 1.5 mile walk.
This year’s 5K, sponsored by Landmark Life and Brownwood Regional Medical Center, features a new route that takes contestants though downtown Brownwood, around the Lehnis Railroad Museum, by Howard Payne University, and the Brown County Court House.
Entry fee is $20 per person and $25 for those who wait until race day and there are multiple age brackets. Groups, organizations or businesses can also form teams. The first 3 places in each age group, overall male and female winner, and winning team will receive awards.
