Elsie Mae Smart passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at Hendrick In House Hospice in Abilene, Texas. She was 71 years old. She was born May 27, 1943 in Gorman, Texas to Herbert and Willie Mae Cain. She was a member of Rocky Creek Baptist Church. She loved her Sunday School peers and friends. She enjoyed being a part of this church and volunteering for various functions. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, crocheting, and loved our family reunions at Proctor Lake each and every year.
Elsie is survived by her husband Coley F. Smart from Cross Plains, Texas. They were married 55 years. She is also survived by a daughter Tonya and husband Roy Denton of Thebes, Il., three sons; Tony and wife Opal Smart of Abilene, Texas, Waylon and wife Wendy Smart of Lake Jackson, Texas, and Markus Smart. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She will be dearly missed by all.
