Graveside services for Elmer R. Glaeske, 74, of Brownwood, will be held at 3 pm on Saturday, October 12, at Locker Cemetery in San Saba County with the Rev. Dick Williams officiating. Interment will follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations

No Visitation is planned at this time.

Mr. Glaeske went to be with his Lord in Heaven on Thursday, October 10, 2013, at a local nursing facility.

Elmer Rudolph Glaeske was born on February 24, 1939, in Long Prairie Minnesota, to Rudy and Della Glaeske. He served his country in the United States Army from 1957 to 1960 and on November 17, 1962, he married Minnie Pearl McGary in Locker Texas. For a period of time Elmer worked as a farmer in the Texas and Montana areas then from 1965 to 1992, he worked as a long hall trucker. Afterwards he drove a truck forĀ grain harvesting for several years before retiring.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his beloved wife of 50 years, Minnie Glaeske of Brownwood; daughter Patricia Fallon and husband Martin, of Brownwood; sons, Troy Glaeske, of Brownwood and Jerry Glaeske and wife Julie, of Burleson; four grandchildren, Joleta, Silva, Clifton, Martin, and Shea. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren and a brother, Rev. Larry Glaeske and wife Kay, of Canada, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Della Glaeske
