Elmer Lee Vaughan of Northlake Brownwood, TX, passed away at the age of 83 years. Funeral service, under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home, will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday June 16, 2017, at the North Lake Community Church, 3131 Harbor Drive, May TX 76857, with Pastor Ron Keener officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Lee is survived by his wife of 65 years, Avis June Vaughan. They have 5 children; Lex Vaughan of Mississippi, Loy Akens and husband Tim of Abilene, Lance Vaughan and wife Kathy of Argyle, Ladd Vaughan of Northlake Brownwood, LeAnna Lange and husband Ken of Georgetown. They have 9 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews, and a very special caregiver, Vicki Robertson.
Lee is proceeded in death by his parents Arthur and Helen Vaughan, 2 sisters, 1 brother, and a grandson.
