stankeElias Stanke, of Brownwood, went to his Heavenly home at the young age of 14 on Tuesday, July 2, 2014 after injuries sustained in an A.T.V. accident.

Memorial Services for Elias will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, July 7, 2014 at Coggin Ave. Baptist Church with Tim Skaggs and Rick Cavitt officiating, private interment. No visitation. Elias wishes were to be cremated and spread at his favorite fishing holes.    Elias was born on October 4, 1999 to Jack and Tammy (Riley) Stanke in Abilene. He was raised in Brownwood, attending Brownwood ISD. He finished his 8th grade year and was looking forward to being a freshman. Elias was a fun filled young man, who like most teenage boys loved the outdoors, especially fishing; he also enjoyed playing tennis and soccer. He had a very unique integrity about himself. He cared deeply for all his friends and classmates.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Jack and Tammy Stanke. He was a loving brother to Shaily and Isaiah Stanke. Survivors also include special cousins, Michaela, Arriana, Josiah, Kristen, Heather, Jonathon, Luke, and several other cousins; paternal grandmother, Julia Stanke Yancy; maternal grandfather, Gerald Hutchens; maternal grandmother, Tisa Raffel; great-grandfather, Bentel Luker; numerous aunts, unlcles, and other relatives.

Elias was preceded in death by his, grandfather, Jack Stanke, Sr.; step-grandfather, Wayland Yancy; great-grandmother, Irene Luker; great-grandmother, Barbara Jackson; and cousin, Kaitlynn Riley.
