Brownwood News – The Brown County Elections Office released the results of voting held for various positions in three different cities: Early, Bangs, and Blanket, at 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 6th.

Voter turnout was considered low, as the elections office had just settled into their new building in Brownwood near the courthouse. There were a total of 376 voters, out of 3,700 registered voters for the area, offering just over 10 percent of the vote.

 

The results are as follows:

Board of Trustee Place 1 Blanket ISD:

  • Steve Schulze received 63.16% with 72 votes.
  • Angela Dozier received 36.84% with 42 votes.

Board of Trustee Place 2 Blanket ISD:

  • Mary Wilson received 63.72% with 72 votes.
  • Janice Kinkade received 36.28% with 41 votes.

Mayor City of Early:

  • Bob Mangrum received 57.27% with 130 votes.
  • Sean Fulton received 34.80% with 79 votes.
  • Frankie Lee Wilder received 7.93% with 18 votes.

City Council City of Early:

  • Travis Eoff received 37.21% with 144 votes.
  • Joel Johnson received 30.23% with 117 votes.
  • Amy Beam received 25.32% with 98 votes.
  • Noah Williams received 7.24% with 28 votes.

Mayor City of Bangs:

  • Eric Bishop received 60.61% with 20 votes.
  • Carrol Prince Wells received 39.39% with 13 votes.

Council Members At-large City of Bangs:

  • Waymond Sheppard received 58.97% with 23 votes.
  • Danny Marney received 41.03% with 16 votes.

Council Member Unexpired Term City of Bangs:

  • Marisa Craddock received 100% with 19 votes.
