Funeral Services for Eleazar “Charlie” Vargas, age 62, of Brownwood will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2016, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Father Francis Njoku officiating; burial will follow at Greenleaf Cemetery. Rosary will be held Wednesday evening at 6 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home, visitation will follow after rosary. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Charlie passed away Monday, November 28, 2016, in Abilene.
Eleazar “Charlie” Vargas was born on August 24, 1954, to Julian Vargas and Gloria Solis in Mexico. He loved his livestock and working with them. Most of all he loved his family, especially his grandchildren, and spending time with them.
Charlie is survived by his wife, Maria Vargas of Brownwood; 3 daughters, Diana Hernandez, Jessica Vargas, and Lissette Vargas; grandchildren, Jose, Alex, Isaac, and Obie Hernandez, Aaron Villegas, Madijeliz Vargas, and Santiago Ramirez; mother, Gloria Solis; 8 brothers, 4 sisters. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his father, Julian Vargas.
