A total of eighty-one Division One Superior medals were earned by the Early ISD choral students at the recent District UIL Solo and Ensemble contest held at Howard Payne University on Saturday, February 18, 2012. Early Middle School choir members who earned a superior rating for their solos are: Julie Hawkins, Cassie Durden, Chaeli Stalcup, Holli Hullum, Elizabeth Rivard, Krista Plaster, Meagan Richmond, Tyler Thompson, Danielle Contreras, Erin Anderson, Andrea Contreras, Maggie Yantis, Shelby Grooms, Shiann Matthews, KK Whitley, Isaac Martin, Jayslin King, Hallie Tyler, Libby Underwood, Parker Duncan, Gabrielle Villerreal, Kwade Boyd, Kylar Mercer, David Morales, Austin Carlisle, Hunter Desemar, and Danielle Kramer.
Those Early Middle School choir students who earned a Division One Superior rating for their ensembles are: Cassie Durden, Holli Hullum, Tyler Thompson, Maggie Yantis, Isaac Martin, Kwade Boyd, David Morales, Austin Carlisle, and Hunter Desemar. Krista Plaster, Hunter Plaster, and Elizabeth Rivard will be attending State UIL Solo and Ensemble contest with the Early High School choir members who qualified for state competition.
Early High School Concert Choir students earned forty-six Division One Superior ratings on Class One solos and ensembles. This accomplishment qualifies them to compete at the State UIL Solo and Ensemble Contest at Dickerson High School in Pflugerville, TX, on Monday, May 28, 2012. Students who will be competing at state competition on their solos are: Nolan Ethridge, Quaylen Lykes, Jaimie Easley, David Boykin, Rachel Ditmore, Brandon Brownlee, Ethan Easley, Brianna Childs, Candace McCamey, Bucky McDaniel, Sam Cox, Kassidy Allen, Kyle Blackburn, Jessica Harris, Amanda Harris, Samuel Kinnin, Anna Rose Hamilton, Jakayli King, Conner Drew, and Kristy Joyner.

These students are under the direction of Judy C. Reed, Director of Choral Activities for the school district, and Angie Prock, Assistant Choral Director for Early ISD.
