Early High School has been named as a national silver medal award recipient from U.S. News as one of its top high schools in the state and nation. EHS was ranked 109th in the state and 1362nd in the nation (out of over 22,000 high schools).
Specific criteria used to determine rank included results on state exams and national exams such as Advanced Placement. Additional criteria included an analysis of achievement gaps between student groups. Of the 108 schools that ranked higher than EHS, 33% were exclusive magnet schools.
“This honor is a testament to the excellent work of our staff in preparing and delivering quality instruction in the classroom. Our students are highly motivated and are successful because they know they are a valued member of the Longhorn family. Class sizes remain well below the state average and our students get the individual support they need,” shared EHS principal, Jennifer Kent. For more information visit http://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/texas/rankings.
