The Early High School cheerleaders held a fundraiser for the Cancer Center at Brownwood Regional Medical Center through the months of September and October.
Pink “Fighting Longhorn” t-shirts were sold as well as pink caps, bracelets, tattoos, pink hair extensions and longhorn car fresheners. The cheerleaders also worked for tips at Sonic in Early on October 16th along with football team and dance team members. The cheerleader portion of proceeds went to the cancer center as well.
Linda Neill of the American Cancer Society in Abilene was instrumental in communications with Donna Hair, BRMC Healthy Women coordinator, and EHS cheer sponsors Tish Hullum and Lauri Sullivan. They would like to thank the community for their support in this Pink-Out event and report that $2,600.00 was donated to BRMC for use by cancer patients. These funds can be used for many things such as, travel to treatments, purchasing wigs after hair loss, and the purchase of prosthesis.
EHS Cheerleaders want to thank Willie’s T’s, Early Blooms, and Tina Henry of Darlene’s Cutting Edge for their contributions to this campaign. GO LONGHORNS!
