Brownwood News – Due to concerns over COVID-19, the Board of Trustees of the Brownwood Public Library voted to close both the Main Library and the Genealogy Library, effective immediately.

All library programs and events will be cancelled for the duration of the closure.

The Library Board has also chosen to place a moratorium on all fines during this period.  If you wish to return your materials during this closure, please use the outside book drops but do not feel pressured to get out if you are not well.

If there has been sickness in your house, please do not return your library materials until three (3) full days after all members of the household are well.

The library hopes to offer curbside pickup as medical and safety advisors allow.  You can request up to 10 items which the staff will checkout on your card and deliver to our vehicle.

The library also offers phone reference service.  If you have a question, call 325-646-0155 or 646-6006 for genealogy questions.

A wide variety of library services are available online.  In addition, watch the library Facebook page for library services available through your computer, phone or tablet.
