Edward Allen Burnett, 86, passed away on August 13, 2018. A graveside service will be 1:00 PM Friday, August 17, 2018 at the Jayton Cemetery, Jayton, TX 79528.
Ed was born June 20, 1932 at a house in Coleman County, TX. He attended school in May, TX while working on the farm before becoming a lineman at age 19. He married Karen Ilene Miller and their union was blessed with three children. Ed was a cowboy, he loved horses and all animals. His family says and those that knew him will agree, Ed was born 100 years too late. He enjoyed hunting, fishing & hanging out at family outings. As a young man, Ed was a busy body, always doing something. As he grew older, Ed stayed in touch with family and spent more time on the phone checking on his kids and grandkids daily.
Ed is survived by his son, Ricky and wife Jimi Sue Burnett of Lampasas TX: two daughters, Vickie and husband Jack Perry of Big Spring, TX, and Pam Mutter of Roswell, NM. 7 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and friends.
