Gravesides services for Eddie Osborn, 84, will be held at 1 pm Wednesday, October 3, 2012 in Santa Anna Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11am to 12 noon at Brownwood Funeral Home.
Eddie was born November 3, 1927 to the parentage of Edward and Sarah Blodgett Thompson. She married J.W. “Bill” Osborn January 25, 1957 in Comanche Texas. She retired from the housekeeping department at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. She was an avid gardener; she planted things with her grandchildren just to watch them grow. Eddie enjoyed reading to and teaching her grandchildren. She loved all animals especially birds. She loved to cook and looked forward to family dinners.
Eddie passed away Sunday, September 30, 2012 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include daughter Linda Von Roeder and husband Steve of Austin; son Jim Osborn of Brownwood, step-daughter Rusty Smith and husband Robert and step-son Kenneth Osborn and wife Marcie all of Mullin, TX; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, numerous step grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, great great great grandchildren, and her dog Corky.
She was preceded in death by her husband, both parents, sisters Mae Sheffield and Dude Baker, stepson James Osborn, and stepdaughter Frances Fisher.
All arrangements are under the direction of Brownwood Funeral Home and Cremations.
