Eddie Jack Bond went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at his ranch on the Colorado River.

A time of gathering was Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Heartland Funeral Home. A celebration of life wil be held at 2:00 pm Friday, February 2, 2018 at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with Pastor Tim Skaggs officiating. Burial will follow in Eastlawn Memorial with Masonic rites.

Eddie was born September 26, 1953 in San Angelo to James and Mildred Bond. At a young age his family moved to their ranch at Winchell where Eddie spent many years hunting, fishing, riding horses and looking for arrowheads. He graduated from Brookesmith High School in 1972 and attended Howard Payne University, graduating with a degree in Marketing. Eddie met Betty in October of 1972 and they married May 18, 1974. He was passionate about his career in Law Enforcement Training in Artesia, New Mexico and Drug Prevention with his K9 partner, Beaux. Eddie spent his last years enjoying time with his family and hunting his infamous 2014 Boone and Crockett buck.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Betty; two children, William Bond and Kristin Guy; three grandchildren, Ryder, Kooper and Conner; and his two brothers, Billy Crowder and James Bond. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mildred Bond.
