Coggin Park was the place to be Saturday for the big Easter egg hunt sponsored by KQBZ, The Breeze 102.3 FM (Wendlee Broadcasting). A crowd of kids, parents and spectators came out to see the big hunt for 10,000 pieces of candy and goodies.
There were actually three Easter egg hunts divided into three age groups, 0-3, 4-5 and 6-7 years old. The kids (and some parents) scrambled to get as many eggs as possible which were filled with candy, money, and even special prizes.
Chick-Fil-A, Wal-Mart, and Dr Pepper also had food and drinks available, and the Brownwood Fire Department was on hand to give the kids a peek into a couple of fire trucks. The Easter bunny and Chick-Fil-A cow were also around to make the children smile along with some fun pony rides.
Great weather and great fun from this event will undoubtedly make great memories for many families.
