On Wednesday, May 29th, Pre-K students from East Elementary attended their graduation ceremony. After students marched in to “Pomp and Circumstance” they performed 3 musical selections before being presented with their diplomas and awards.
Awards included the Paw Pride award, given to students who showed great behavior and attitude for the sixth 6 weeks, the Above and Beyond award, given to students who displayed respect for friends and teachers and had a great attitude all year long, and awards for perfect attendance.“I would like to give a special thanks to our Pre-K teachers and teaching assistants; Regina Pinkston, Mystee Yoder, Marci Reagan, Cammye Schwing, Denise Palmer and Elizabeth Hernandez,” said East Elementary principal, Nanda Wilbourn, acknowledging their work and help with the ceremony.
