With water district, municipal, and local school board elections complete, early voting kicks off Monday in primary races.
The primary election, set for Tuesday, May 29th, was delayed several months after a lengthy legal battle over the state’s redistricting maps.
Voters will cast ballots in this primary election for key state and federal race as well local county races including sheriff, constable, and county commissioners. Winners in the Republican and Democratic primaries will move on to face each other in the regular November election; however, the local county races did not have any Democratic candidates file for a place on the ballot.
Early voting in Brown County takes place at Adams Street Community Center in Brownwood. Early voting hours and times are May 14th – May 25th Monday – Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Any required runoffs will be held July 31.
