Early voting in the Brownwood City Council runoff election for Ward 2 will begin on Monday, June 1st between incumbent Eddie Watson and challenger Ed McMillian.
Early voting in this election will be held Monday through Friday, June 1-5th, between the hours of 8 AM and 5 PM at Adams Street Community Center. Early voting will then continue on June 8th and 9th from 7 AM to 7 PM. Election day for the runoff will be Saturday, June 13th from 7 AM to 7 PM at Adams Street Community Center.
In the May 9th election, Watson received 40% of the vote and McMillian 27% beating out the other two candidates.
Watson has faced McMillian before in a runoff election in 2010 when they ran for an unexpired term, with Watson winning. After that year, Watson was reelected for a full 4 year term.
