The Early School Board Monday night accepted a proposal from Waldrop Construction to replace and paint the siding on the high school gym for a total of $37,935. Board president Pat Mooney said the project will be covered by insurance money.
The board also reviewed schematic designs for construction projects including additions to the high school staff parking lot, additional tennis courts and renovations to current tennis courts by Darren Kirbo of Huckabee and associates. The board will approve designs at the regular meeting in November.
In other business, the board approved the long-range technology plan, approved the purchase of 125 computers for a total of $22,812.50, and approved a memorandum of understanding with the Brownowod/Brown county emergency management and public health preparedness. The memorandum basically says that Early ISD will make its facilities available for the purposes of mass dispensing, vaccination or temporary sheltering.
A dedication and ribbon cutting ceremony for the Beale family athletic facility will be held at 7 p.m. Friday, October 23 at the facility prior to Friday night’s game.
