2011EES1stPlaceAreaRobotics teams from Early Elementary and Early Middle school competed in the Area Competition on Saturday, December 10th in San Angelo.  Both schools competed in the intermediate division which consists of grades 4 – 8.  The teams of up to 4 students were required to build and program their robots to complete assigned tasks sent out by TCEA (Texas Computer Educators Association) in August.  Every team must have a sponsor from the school.   

Early robotics teams were very successful at this competition.  Early teams won 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 13th, 15th, 24th and 25th places.  The top 2 places automatically attend the state competition at a place and date to be determined.  Other teams may get an invitation to the state meet based on their scores in the area competition.  The sponsors for the teams are Mrs. Tami Hull for Early Middle School and Mr. Keith Taylor for Early Elementary school.

Trophies for places 1, 2, and 3 were awarded.  The Early Elementary team Beastly Bots won first place, and the Early Middle school team Early Robot Squad won third place.  The other teams were placed as follows:

4th place         EMS team Early Robo Rampage

5th place         EMS team Early Fusion Illusion

13th place       EMS team Early Crazed Robots

15th place       EES team Robo Horns

24th place       EES team Em&M&H

25th place       EES team Cleanup Crew
