Brownwood News – Early Primary School will register next year’s pre-k and kindergarten students beginning Monday, April 23rd and will end on Friday, April 27th. Parents may register their children in the primary office from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Birth certificates, immunization records, social security cards, proof of residency, and photo identification of the person who is enrolling children are required.

 

To qualify for prekindergarten, children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2018, and must be unable to speak and comprehend English, be homeless, or qualify for free or reduced school lunches. Children may also qualify if a parent is on active duty in the military.

To qualify for kindergarten, students must be 5 years old on or before September 1, 2018. Early registration is extremely important because it helps teachers and staff to prepare for the upcoming school year.

If your child has been enrolled in the Early ISD ESL program and is entering kindergarten or first grade in the fall of 2018, he/she may be eligible to attend the ESL summer school program. Please call the school at 643-9622 to see if your child meets state participation requirements.
