About 10pm on Thursday, Officer Pattimae Furry and Sgt Shawn Dibrell stopped a 1995 Toyota Camry in the 600 block of Early Blvd for defective equipment.
According to reports released by the Early Police Department, when Officer Furry approached the vehicle, she could smell an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officer Furry searched the vehicle after having the 3 occupants step out. A bag of marijuana was located in the vehicle, the passengers Michael Crooks age 20 of Brownwood and Gerald Ward age 20 of Bangs were placed under arrest for possession of marijuana.
An illegal knife was found on the driver Christopher Dunn age 20 of Brownwood who was arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon.
All three men were transported to the Brown County Jail where they were still being held as of Friday morning.
